CONFIRMED: RONALDO'S SHIRT NUMBER

After returning to Old Trafford, Manchester United can confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the legendary no.7 shirt.

The renowned shirt number was notably worn by the Portuguese superstar during his first time with the club, and we can reveal that Cristiano will be wearing it once more.

Between 2003 and 2009, Ronaldo made 292 games for Real Madrid and scored 118 goals while winning nine trophies, including three Premier League crowns and the UEFA Champions League.

The no.7 shirt, as we all know, has a particular place in United's history.

It has been worn by club legends like as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and David Beckham in the past. Now it's back to Ronaldo, the man who took over for Beckham.

Ronaldo takes up the number from Edinson Cavani, who wore it last season and in our 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

El Matador will transfer to no.21, the same number that our prolific scorer wears for the Uruguayan national team, while our new addition is assigned no.7.

United's first match after the international break is against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday 11 September, in which Ronaldo might make his second appearance.

We're all looking forward to seeing our no.7 back in action at the Theatre of Dreams.
